As part of Georgia Tech’s undergraduate research initiative, I was granted the funds for an independent project in creating a progressive and dynamic tool for building a library of movements that could be used in the creation of Machinema productions. The tool was to be a stepping stone in using current game engines to create complex animation pieces without the need of expensive rendering farms and months of work for each scene in a movie.
For this year’s National Retail Federation Annual Convention and Expo, we’ve built a highly interactive, surf-and-sand-inspired shopping experience. Built inside a uniquely portable container, RZRShop creates big moments inside a smaller, more nimble retail footprint. Digital meets physical with a Perceptive Pixel-powered surfboard designer that comes to life right before your eyes. And battle lines are drawn with a one-of-a-kind, dual screen Kinect beach soccer game and smart vending experience. The SFO Flight Deck is composed of three distinct but connected digital experiences — an interactive and real time large scale projection (you can’t miss it), six multi-touch kiosks that are rich with beautiful content, and a mobile takeaway component for those on the go. The entire experience resides in Terminal 3, but the projected visualization serves as a beacon calling all SFO guests to contribute to the global SFO travel story. For the 2013 Mobile World Congress AT&T need an application to show their new digital life offering. I build an Adobe AIR application that would perform all of the functions of the digital life app as well as a platform to showcase their marketing materials. Marks & Spencer asked us to create a kiosk for the launch of their Paris store on the Champs-Élysées. This project coincided with M&S’s return to the International market. As you might expect, the M&S New Channels team wanted us to deliver genuine “wow factor” to justify the kiosk’s inclusion in the launch of this flagship store. The kiosk would need to create a brand new transactional channel, and enable customers to make purchases beyond what is physically sold in-store.Physical, Retail
